Hey guys,

The 2nd quarter of 2019 is now in full swing. However our production dates have been pushed much further back than what we had originally planned. Very upsetting, will explain more below.

🧨Roadblocks 🧨

Every month since last fall we have tried for the next production run to kick off and hence be done with 100% off all Indiegogo and pre-order shipments quickly. After numerous trips to China for motion sensor improvements and continuous product development, hiring outside engineering firms to take a second look at our sensor technology, and even asking you guys for your feedback, we are still behind.

For our team this is very frustrating. We were off to a great start in 2018 and have been hitting roadblock after roadblock ever since. The last 6 months seemed to have dragged on forever. Of course you are probably wondering what does that mean for you guys, our earliest supporters?


It means two things:

  • If you have not received you StarkBoard yet OR have returned your board for service, we do NOT have a concise ETA for the next batch. We are working with a German engineering firm and a new Chinese main board supplier in Shenzhen to get things done properly ASAP.
  • If you have received your StarkBoard and have been happily riding it, we have some important deadlines coming up so please make sure to read carefully below.

📆Deadlines ☠️

Deadline to make a claim to get your V1.0 StarkBoard serviced is March 31, 2019. Servicing is only eligible to individuals who contacted us about board servicing prior to the expiration of warranty. Please send an email to hello@starkmobility.com if this pertains to you.

Deadline for a free replacement StarkBoard application has expired. The six month warranty covered by the board (available here  https://starkmobility.com/pages/limited-warranty ) has expired for V1.0 StarkBoards.

  1. If you have received a return label from us and have NOT sent back your board, you have until the date above to do so. After that date you will not be eligible for repair or a replacement board. If the return label that we sent you is over 90 days old and you would still like to send in your board, you must provide your own return label at your own cost. Please email us for a return address. 

  2. If you have not received a return label from us you are only eligible at this point for a replacement if your board has been cleared as “needs to be returned” by one of the Stark Mobility staff, before warranty expired. From there we will provide a return address for you to generate your own return label. Reimbursements from Stark Mobility for return labels will ONLY take place IF:

    1. You have the tracking number for your shipment
    2. You email us proof of receipt

  3. If you have received a return label from us, sent back your board, and have received a confirmation email from us that it has been received then you’re good to go. Please let us know of any changes in address if applicable.

🔋Extra Batteries & Chargers 🔌

If you ordered an extra battery it will be shipped with the next batch of boards. If you have a change of address from your original order, please make sure to contact us so that we can update that information and send your goods to the correct address.


📲iOS & Android APP 🤖

The Android App is still available todownload at version 1.0.42 here. The iOS version has been updated and uploaded into our own Apple Developer account. It should be made available soon. Waiting on verification now. Once set free you can find a updated link here:

Would love to have better and more exciting news about shipping updates and new products launching soon. We will keep working hard at this until we get to that point. In the meantime we will continue to keep you updated along the way.
